A lovely Market Town in one of the most beautiful corners of the country- the English Lake District. The town is full of unique specialty shops which sell a range of goods unrivaled anywhere in the Lake District, as well as some top high street names.

There is a strong sense of history about Kendal. The motto is ‘Wool is my bread’. On a hill over looking the centre of the town stand the ruins of Kendal Castle.  The castle has dominated the town since the 13th Century, for several generations home to the Parr family, whose most well known member Katherin was the sixth and final wife of Henry VIII. Reached easily from the town center there are fantastic views of the surrounding area.

For those who prefer modern arts, both the Brewery Arts Centre and the Abbot Hall Art Gallery have a regularly changing program of exhibitions. The Brewery Arts Centre also houses music events, a theatre and cinema screens.
